Method Statement

SURFACE PREPARATION

• Clean the surface thoroughly to get rid of all contaminants. Remove all surface imperfections and repair with polymer modified mortar using Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP.

PRIMING
• Prime the surface with Dr. Fixit Torchshield Primer. Allow it to dry for 8 to 10 hours.

APPLICATION

• Start the application of Dr. Fixit Torchshield AP 4160 (plain finish APP based) from the outlet, going towards the centre of the roof area.

• Lay the second layer of Dr. Fixit Torchshield AM 4160 in a perpendicular direction to the first membrane, starting from 150 to 200 mm on the parapet wall. This is a mineral-finished APP based membrane of 4 mm thickness.

• Terminate with a flashing strip 20 cm above the slab.Finish the top edge of the membrane with aluminium flashing.

• Provide Dr. Fixit roofing accessories such as roof drains, flashing strips, etc. as per standard roofing practices.
