Method Statement

RAFT: Dr. Fixit Prebond

• Surface Preparation: Create a sound and solid substrate to eliminate movement during the concrete pour.

• Membrane Installation: Place the membrane HDPE film side to the PCC substrate with adhesive/sand layer side facing the concrete pour. End laps should be staggered to avoid a build-up of layers. Peel back the plastic release liner between the overlaps as the two layers are bonded together. Ensure a continuous bond without creases and roll firmly with a heavy roller.

RETAINING WALL: Dr. Fixit Prebond

• Surface Preparation: Vertical Sheet Piling - Use shotcrete, plywood, and sacrificial brick wall facing the sheet piling to provide support to the membrane
• Membrane Installation: Mechanically fasten the membrane vertically using fixings (i.e. fasteners) to the concrete/Retaining wall pour
• Termination of membrane at top: The top 1m portion of the system to be terminated using Dr. Fixit Samshield XL 1500 and the top of Dr. Fixit Samshield XL 1500 to be sealed with Aluminium Termination bar screwed at 500mm c/c with stainless shot screw and to be sealed at top with PU sealant

CONSTRUCTION JOINT: DR. FIXIT WATERBAR

• Surface Preparation: Clean the construction joint of loose mortar and dust. Clean the joints from dust, oil or grease and dry it. Apply primer as directed over the joint
• Application: Unroll the Waterbar coil slowly and carefully place on the primed surface without pulling and stretching it. Press it to ensure that it sticks to the concrete surface. Remove the protective wrap and pour the concrete
