System to prevent water loss from internal side.

Method Statement

SURFACE PREPARATION

1. Clean the surface thoroughly to get rid of all contaminants.

2. Remove all surface imperfections and repair with a polymer modified mortar using Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP.

APPLICATION

1. Add the prescribed quantity of Dr. Fixit Polyplus CP Admix to the sand and coarse aggregates. Mix the components thoroughly for 2-3 minutes before adding the cement and water.

2. For larger RMC/Plant mixes, dispense the prescribed dosage of Dr. Fixit Polyplus CP Admix in 60-70% of prebatched water. Mix the components thoroughly for 2-3 minutes before adding the batched cement, sand, coarse aggregates and remaining water. Mix for 5-7 minutes. The batching and mixing of total concrete mass should be in accordance with standard practice.

3. Seal sanitary pipes entering through the walls and floor with Dr. Fixit Bathseal Tape and grout the gaps with Dr. Fixit Bathseal Grout a non-shrink cementitious grout.

4. Apply the first coat of Dr. Fixit Fastflex, maintaining the saturated surface dry condition.

5. Embed a glass fibre mesh measuring 50 gsm over the angle fillets as a reinforcing strip and allow it to soak completely.

6. Immediately apply the 2nd coat of Dr. Fixit Fastflex to sandwich this glass fibre mesh between the coatings.

7. Apply the third coat of Dr. Fixit Fastflex and sprinkle coarse sand while it is still wet. This will provide the key for subsequent plaster.

8. After application of the plaster, apply first brush coat of Dr. Fixit Dampguard. Allow drying for 6 to 8 hrs. Apply second brush coat of Dr. Fixit Dampguard. Allow it to cure completely for 24 hours before using.

9. Apply 2 coats of Dr.Fixit Raincoat on the external side if required.
