Dr Fixit Raincoat TDS

 Q. How does Dr. FixitRaincoat achieve waterproofing?

A. Dr. Fixit Raincoat is a coating and is more than twice thicker than the normal exterior paint. Dr. Fixit Raincoat is elastomeric and flexible in nature that accommodates thermal stresses and bridges hairline cracks that lead to seepages. It is tough and does not crack or peel off on aging like normal paints. Thus it resists water penetration effectively.

Q. What is the difference between paint and coating?

A. Paints are 3050 micron thick and are not thick enough to resist the wind lashing rains that can damage the paint film. Coating like Dr. Fixit Raincoat is about 110120 micron thicker and tough enough to withstand the wind lashing rains.

Q. Is it necessary to apply primer on existing acrylic paint surface?

A. Primeseal as a primer is must for all applications But it is not necessary only if existing paint is an emulsion paint and in sound condition. If the existing paint is flaking or peeling then it must be removed and Dr. Fixit Raincoat can then be applied after surface preparation and primer application.

Q. What is the crack bridging capability of Dr. Fixit Raincoat?

A. The crack bridging capability of Dr. Fixit Raincoat is 0.5mm
